Email Policy
Who we email, why we are allowed to, and how to stop it.

We never send unsolicited email
Tukri does not buy, rent, scrape or otherwise acquire email addresses. We do not send cold outreach. Every address we hold was given to us by the person who owns it, when they created a Tukri account at tukri.bd or asked us to contact them.
We also never mail your customers. Tukri is business software: the customer records a shop keeps in it belong to that shop, and we do not send marketing to them, on our own behalf or on any shop's.
The two kinds of email we send
Account email is part of the service: receipts and invoices, subscription renewal and failed-payment notices, email verification, password resets, security alerts and team invitations. It is triggered by something you or your shop did, it goes to the address on the account, and it keeps arriving for as long as the account is open.
Product announcements are optional: new features, pricing changes, planned maintenance and occasional offers. A few emails a month at most. These are the only emails you can unsubscribe from, and the only ones that require your consent.
How we get your consent, and what we record
You give consent for announcements in one of two ways: by ticking the (unticked) opt-in box while creating your account, or by turning Product announcements on under Settings → Profile. There is no pre-ticked box anywhere in Tukri, and refusing does not affect signing up or using the app.
Against every account we store the date consent was given and which of those two acts gave it. An account that has not consented is excluded from every announcement — not filtered at send time, but absent from the audience the campaign is built from.
How to stop it
Any of these works, and each takes effect immediately:
1. Turn Product announcements off under Settings → Profile. 2. Click the unsubscribe link at the foot of any announcement — no login, no confirmation step. 3. Use your mail provider's own unsubscribe button. Every announcement carries RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe headers, so Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and others can show that button beside our name and opt you out without opening anything.
Unsubscribing stops announcements only. Your receipts, invoices and account emails are unaffected — we say so in the footer of every announcement, because nobody should have to choose between their invoices and their inbox.
Bounces and spam reports
Our delivery provider reports every bounce and every spam complaint back to us over an authenticated webhook. A permanent bounce, or any complaint, adds that address to an internal suppression list immediately, and no future campaign is ever addressed to it. Neither our staff nor our admin tools can release a bounced or complained address — that block is deliberately irreversible.
Temporary bounces (a full mailbox, a server that is briefly down) are recorded but not suppressed, because the address is still valid.
How our email is authenticated
Announcements are sent from news.tukri.bd, a subdomain used for nothing else, so that our announcement reputation can never affect delivery of a customer's invoice. That domain publishes DKIM keys, and its bounce address is a custom MAIL FROM subdomain with its own SPF record, so both SPF and DKIM align with the From domain and DMARC passes on each. Delivery is by Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), which acts as our processor for the recipient address and the delivery result.
Reporting a problem
If you received a Tukri email you did not ask for, or an unsubscribe did not work, tell us and we will fix it and confirm back to you. That is a faster route than reporting it as spam, and it lets us find whatever went wrong.
